RESIDENT VISAS

Skilled Migrant Resident Visa

There are 3 skills-based pathways that allow you to get New Zealand residence if you meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Skilled Migrant Resident pathway
  • Green List pathway through the Straight to Residence Visa and Work to Residence Visa
  • Care Workforce and Transport Sector Agreement pathways

Some of the visas on these pathways allow you to apply for residence straight away, such as the Straight to Residence Visa. Other pathways may require you to work in New Zealand before you can apply for residence, such as the Work to Residence Visa.

Navigating the Skilled -based resident visa process can be challenging. Consulting a trusted and experienced licensed immigration adviser can help clarify your eligibility and ensure a smoother application experience.

Parent Resident visa

If you have an adult child in New Zealand who is a citizen or resident for at least 3 years and earns enough, they might be able to sponsor you to live there permanently.

Your child has to meet a minimum income threshold and be ready to support you financially for the first ten years.

Every year, only 2,500 parents get approved, and the selection is random.

The process is pretty complicated, so it’s a good idea to seek professional advice to make it smoother. Click the button below for a free initial consultation for this visa.
