NZ Visitor Visa moves to enhanced Immigration Online from 24 September 2026

INZ has announced an important change: from 24 September 2026, most new Visitor Visa applications will be created and lodged through enhanced Immigration Online — new applications will no longer open on the old system.

Two dates to remember:

• 24 September 2026: new Visitor Visa applications lodge through the new online system.
• 8 October 2026: remaining drafts on the old system will be deleted. If you have not lodged in time, you will need a new application on the new system.

Applications already lodged on the old system continue to be processed as normal. Applicants do not need to re-lodge.

This is part of New Zealand’s visa system digitisation. If you or family are preparing a visit / tourism visa, get familiar with Immigration Online early.
